Tribal RADIX

Lock in. Accelerate. Leave everyone behind.

Radix is back. Shorter. Looser. More alive.

Speed has never been this easy. Radix delivers PWA-level speed … without the punishment. We listened to the Tribe and evolved the shape of Radix: 2 cm shorter (237cm), a deeper deck concave, and a narrower tail.

The result? More control. More acceleration. More confidence in real world conditions. Where full-Race boards become nervous in the chop, Radix stays composed and makes you push even harder.

WHY IT MAKES YOU FASTER

Speed is physics. Control is trust. Radix combines both so you can focus on sailing.

  • Shorter & Looser (237cm): Reduced swing weight. Lighter feel. Faster rail-to-rail reaction. The board feels alive under your feet.
  • Narrower Tail: Less drag at top speed. Cleaner release. More controlled, higher speed gybes.
  • Deeper Deck Concave around the mast track. Increased structural stiffness. Lower stance. More leverage over the fin. Every gust converts instantly into forward drive.
  • Direct Board Connection: You stand inside the board, not on top of it. Lower center of gravity. Rock-solid trim.

TRIBAL RADIX

Engineered for Radical Speed

WHAT MAKES RADIX SPECIAL

Radix removes the speed limit from your sailing style.

  • Earlier planing: effortlessly while others are still pumping.
  • Sail Longer: save energy and extend your sessions with the board absorbing the impact of the chop instead of you.
  • High speed gybes with confidence: The new tail shape makes the gybe entry easier and the exit cleaner. Crucial for maintaining high average speeds.
  • Win Easier: Speed is nothing without control. Radix gives you the confidence to attack those GPS records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the board shorter (237cm)?
During our R&D, we found that 237cm is the perfect "sweet spot." It retains the passive stability the Radix is famous for, making the board more responsive and playful. The reduced swing weight means the board reacts faster to foot steering.
What is the benefit of the Deeper Deck Concave?
Two main benefits: Stiffness and Control. Deepening the deck shape creates a stiffer platform structure. Additionally, it lowers stance relative to the water surface, giving more leverage over the fin and much more control in heavy gusts.
Is the Radix difficult to sail?
While the board hits PWA speeds, we smoothed out the "sharp edges" that make pure slalom boards so nervous. If you are comfortable in footstraps, you can sail Radix.
Which fin works best?
The Radix is tuned for our Tribal MK1, MK2, MK3 or PowerMax fins. Due to the new shape (narrower tail), you can often sail a fin 1 to 2 cm smaller than you are used to. WeedSpeed and Weedmax are also a good match when conditions demand a weedfin.
How does RADIX compare to other FULL RACE BOARDS?
If you want pure PWA brutality — go full race. If you want serious speed in real conditions — go Radix.
How does RADIX compare to the other TRIBAL boards?
Rapid → Pure speed sniper
Radix → Real-world slalom weapon
Noma → Progressive freerace step
Libero → Performance all-round
Atmos → Dedicated foil authority
What will be included in the Radix delivery?
Radix comes standard in a boardbag. Also included in the package are of course the footstraps and screws, and fin screws to make sure you are well prepared to take your new board to the water for the first time. If you have any questions regarding the footstrap set-up or way of attachment to the board, please do not hesitate to contact us for more useful tips and advice!

FIELD-PROVEN PERFORMANCE

The Radix isn't a concept: it's a proven weapon. Tested in the Real World. Before release, this shape was subjected to months of rigorous testing in varying conditions—from light wind cruising to overpowered survival mode.

The Verdict: The combination of the shortened outline and deep deck proved to be the "magic formula" for stability. Test riders consistently reported higher 10-second average speeds because they didn't have to "back off" when hitting a gust. The board stays trim, allowing you to trust your gear 100%.
